Christianity is a faith centered on Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God who lived, was crucified, and rose from the dead, and that through Him people are reconciled to God. There is no single required translation. Many readers choose a modern version such as the ESV, NIV, or NLT for everyday reading and the KJV for its historic language. A good approach is to pick a readable translation and, if you want, compare it with another for study.

Christians gather to worship God, hear the Bible taught, pray, share communion, and support one another. The New Testament encourages believers not to neglect meeting together, and the local church is where much of Christian community, service, and teaching happens.
